Zinger Chair Review

Our Review of the Zinger Chair

  1. Fit & Form: The Zinger chair is a lightweight folding power chair that can be used indoors, outdoors and a great travel chair but it does have limitations for large or small people. If the user isn't too tall or too small and their weight is less than 275 lbs then it should be a very good physical fit.
  2. Operation: The Zinger does require the use of both hands but they have a joystick version called the Zoomer. But, we like the way the user can steer the Zinger (very cool). You can also go in reverse with this chair (some other competing chairs don't have that feature)
  3. Comfort: People who have to spend a significant amount of time in a power chair may not be a good fit for the zinger because the seat isn't that comfortable and the patient has to be able to get up and out of the chair.
  4. Quality: As far as the quality of the chair is concerned - its fine. Most of the good top brand name power chairs on the market are using the same components just like the Zinger.
  5. Range: The Range is about the same as the rest of them out there and so is the weight limit (most are 8-10 miles for the lightweights).

Overall we give the chair a 4 star rating and we think its a pretty cool chair if its right for the user.

Medicare Coverage

Medicare will not normally cover this type of chair (check with medicare, things could change). In fact, Medicare normally wont cover these type chairs or similar type chairs.
